Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
About DTF Printing
Q: What is DTF printing?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is a process that transfers high-quality, full-color designs onto garments using heat and pressure. Unlike DTG and sublimation, DTF works on almost any fabric — cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, and more with long-lasting, vibrant results.
Q: What makes DTF better than other transfer methods?
DTF transfers offer unmatched versatility, durability, and ease of use. You can press them on light and/or dark garments without pre-treatment, and the finish is soft, flexible, and highly washable.
Ordering & Artwork
Q: How do I place an order with DTF Online?
You can order directly through our website by uploading your artwork and selecting your sheet size. Once your design is uploaded, we handle the rest — printing, curing, and shipping directly to you.
Q: What file formats do you accept?
We accept PNG, PDF with transparent backgrounds, and a resolution of 300 DPI or higher for best results.
Q: Do you offer gang sheets?
Yes! You can upload multiple designs onto one long sheet to save money and material. Use our Gang Sheet Builder or upload your pre-arranged layout.
Q: Can you help with layout or artwork setup?
Absolutely — we can assist with resizing, mirroring, and basic design placement before printing. Just leave a note during checkout.

Q: What’s your turnaround time?
Most DTF orders are printed and shipped same day or the next business day (depending on volume and time of order).

Pressing & Application
Q: What are the recommended press settings?
We suggest:
Temperature: 305°F
Time: 15-20 seconds
Pressure: Medium/firm
Peel: Hot Peel. For best results, press a second time for 8-10 seconds with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper of your choice
Q: Can I use a home iron or Cricut press?
A professional heat press is strongly recommended for consistent results, but a Cricut press or iron can work for smaller items with even pressure.
